Different Towel Dimensions

 

Buying bathroom towels can often involve consideration of the different sizes available and the separate functions each variety has. For instance there are bath towels, bath sheets, hand towels and even wash cloths. Each of these has its own uses and most households require several, if not all of these types of towels.

Usually, the largest towel option is the bath sheet. These sorts of bath towels are designed to offer the user extra coverage and absorbency. With a size range of up to 60 by 35 inches, these sheets can fully cover most people. The size of these towels presents the opportunity to luxuriate in the bathing experience and to benefit from being swathed in a soft, fluffy towel. Standard bath towels are the most common type of bathroom accessory and most households have several varieties of these. Although there is not a standard size for these towels, they are generally of a smaller dimension which allows a distinction from the bath sheet. These are everyday towels which can be used after bathing or washing.

Hand towels are, as the name suggests smaller than the standard bath towels and are used for drying the hands. Usually placed near to the bathroom basin, these can be used several times a day and therefore need to be durable and absorbent. Wash cloths, though not a drying towel, are generally made from the same sorts of fabrics and are used to wash the hands, face and body. Although quite small, they afford an additional tool for bathing and washing.
