A hip flask is a utilitarian accessory that is primarily used to carry alcoholic beverages in limited amounts.
It is also often called an Alcohol Flask and it may or may not come with a cup. It is primarily made using stainless steel but one can also find them made with fancy glass. So how does one care for an alcohol or hip flask!? Well, it is pretty simple.
Everyone just needs to do is follow the tips mentioned below
The first step is to fill the flask up to half with water and dishwashing soap solution. It is important that you do not fill the flask up to its brim with the water and soap solution as it will not leave any room for the liquid to move around within the flask and if the liquid does not move around, it will not be able to rinse the flask inside thereby making the whole cleaning process a half-hearted approach.
The next step is to reattach the cap of the flask and shake the container vigorously for at least half a minute. This is an essential but laborious step that will allow you to make sure that every nook and cranny of the hip flask is cleaned with the cleaning solution.
The third step is to use a bottle cleaning brush, insert the bottle cleaning brush inside the flask and let its bristles work their magic by deep cleaning the inner surface of the hip flask. To ensure that the inner surface of the hip flask does not sustain any form of damage, it would be best if you use bottle cleaning brushes that are used to clean the feeding bottles for babies. These bottle cleaning brushes come with extra-soft bristles that ensure the fact that the inner surface of the hip flask will not sustain any scratches or related damages.
The fourth step is simple but very important, this is the step where you will be rinsing the hip flask and ensure that the cleaning solution made using dishwashing soap and water along with the debris generated after the inner surface of the flask has been cleaned using a bottle cleaning brush are rinsed out of the flask. You would need to repeat the rinsing process several times in order to ensure that every trace of the dishwashing liquid and related debris is removed from the flask. It is the only way to ensure that the flask will be able to retain the taste and texture of the drink it will be tasked to hold in the near future.
The fifth and final step is simple, this is the step where you try to dry out the inner chamber of the hip flask by simply tilting it upside down, with its cap open and set on top of a soft towel. Leave the hip flask in this position overnight and let gravity do its job. By the next morning, your hip flask will be bone dry and ready to hold your favorite drink for you in no time!
Alcohol or better known as a hip flask is one of the most utilitarian accessories one can own. Since a hip flask does not come cheap, it is recommended that one follows the tips mentioned above so that they can ensure the fact that they will be able to use their hip flask for a long time.
